Antitrust & IP Meeting: Fundamentals and Recent Developments - Description:
How do antitrust laws limit the exploitation of patent rights? What
types of conduct involving patents have drawn attention from the Federal
Trade Commission (FTC) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) (the
agencies that enforce federal antitrust laws)? What are
antitrust-related considerations that patent practitioners should keep
in mind? Join us for an hourlong introduction to antitrust law basics
for patent law professionals. We will cover topics of relevance to
patent prosecutors, litigators, and transactional attorneys, from
reverse payments to patent acquisitions to standard essential patents
(SEP)/FRAND issues. We will also discuss recent developments in the
IP/antitrust interface.
This event is virtual only. Attendance is free, but registration is required. CLE credit is pending. Chairpersons: Tiffany Jang, Arnold & Porter Asher McGuffin, WilmerHale
